Morgan Creek Park is located on E Avenue NW, just off 1st Avenue NW a bit west outside the heart of Cedar Rapids. For those who enjoy camping, Morgan Creek Park is the spot for you because there are several campgrounds and ponds for fishing in the area. If camping isn't the thing for you, though, there are still many activities you can participate in. For those who love to walk, there are over four miles of walking trails, and regardless of the season, there will be beautiful nature and animals to observe. In addition to a butterfly garden, there is a pond and an off-leash area for dogs.

Noelridge Park

Looking to grill outside with friends and loved ones? If you are, then you've got to visit Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids, which is located on Council Street NE, by Collins Road NE. This is a great park for the summertime because it is a water park. There are splash pads to enjoy, and there are also walking trails, tennis areas, and more. At Ellis Park, you can play sports, like volleyball, basketball, tennis, and baseball. If you want to visit Ellis Park, take Edgewood Road NW until it meets Ellis Road NW—the park is easy to find! In the summertime, you can utilize the park's swimming pool, so if you want to swim laps, this is the spot for you. In addition, there is a scenic duck pond at this site, so animal lovers will have a good time watching the ducks swim around in the pond. This park has everything you could possibly want in an outdoor area!

Hughes Park

Located right on Wilson Avenue SW, just off 18th Street, you'll find Hughes Park.
